TOMi8 is a computer that allows converting any screen or projector into an interactive surface (HDMI connection), it is portable and integrates an Access Point to simultaneously connect up to 80 smart devices and browse the local content server. Thanks to its optical recognition technology, it allows scanning and processing QR codes, automating the call to list, facilitating access to surveys, interactive questionnaires; as well as the automatic grading of tests with multiple choice questions and the visualization of augmented reality content.

Does Tomi8 work as a projector?

No! TOMi8 must be connected to a projection medium or screen so that with its infrared technology it can turn that medium into an interactive whiteboard. TOMi8 does not project directly onto a wall.

Can I connect any type of peripheral such as mouse, keyboard, hard disk, USB, among others?

Yes! Thanks to its Bluetooth 4.2 technology and its USB and HDMI connection ports, it is possible to connect the peripherals that fit the user's needs.

How does TOMi8's “offline Internet browsing emulation” or “Internet without Internet” work?

The device generates its own local network that allows connecting different devices to its network. This is used to browse the content that TOMi8 has pre-loaded on its hard disk, either the one that TOMi8 has from the factory or the one that the master has added from the offline resources section.

How many student devices can be connected to the local network of the TOMi8 device?

Up to 80 smart devices can be connected simultaneously. Students will be able to connect their tablets, PCs, laptops and smartphones to TOMi8 to browse the local content server or as a gateway to the Internet.

What is the coverage range of TOMi8?

TOMi8 has two external slots for connecting extensions with optional antennas for coverage up to 80 meters.

Can i connect my TOMi8 to a computer?

You can connect it to a projection medium, but not to a computer. From TOMi8 you can do all the work you normally do on a computer, but it is much more interactive for you and your students, with unique tools and functions.
